The historic Shotgun House will open on July 19 from 11am to 3pm at 716 Humphrey Street, Winston-Salem, and feature a special exhibit – a 100-year-old rocking chair owned by Addie Siewers, a former Happy Hill resident and descendant of two individuals who were enslaved in the town of Salem. Free shuttle rides will be available from the Sims Recreation Center, 1201 Adler Street, during the Happy Hill Reunion. Admission is $10 for adults, $3 for youth, and Children 5 and under are free with an accompanying adult. See information about the Shotgun House in our Museum’s article.
