Kayak the Quarry returns on September 27 and 28, and October 4 and 5 at Salem Lake Park, with sessions from 9am to 5:30pm. Glide along the crystal clear waters of Salem Lake during an hour-long paddle session. The use of the recreation department’s kayaks is mandatory. They have singles and tandem kayaks available for rental. When a tandem kayak is needed, one registration covers both paddlers on the kayak.  To rent a single, you must be at least 16 years of age. When renting a tandem, one paddler must be 16 or older; the other paddler may be younger than 16 but of walking age. Life jackets and paddles are provided.
