Learning To Swim Is Essential

Whether you have your own pool, join a private club, or go to a community pool, having your children learn to swim is essential. It is important to begin at least teaching them life saving techniques when they are very young to prevent accidental drowning. Learning to swim will guarantee your child years of water fun and safety. Winston-Salem offers free swimming lessons, and swim lessons are available through the YMCA, swim establishments, and private companies. Check our article on swimming lessons for information about all of these options.

Kathy Solarino

I am originally from New Jersey but now call Winston-Salem home. I am blessed with 3 sons, their wives, and five grandchildren. My husband is deceased, but I gained his two sons, their wives, and four additional grandchildren. I fell in love with Winston-Salem because of the beautiful area, the arts, the music, and the people. It's a city with a heart and soul.
