Fall is right around the corner, pumpkins, Thanksgiving, falling leaves, and paper shredding! Yes, a few community shredding events are happening in and around Winston-Salem, so now is the time to clean out those files and boxes and “Shred It.” Most document shredding events are for personal papers only, not businesses. These events help prevent identity theft and fraud by allowing you to securely dispose of documents containing your personal information. You can recycle documents that do not contain personal information. Many shredding events are run as fundraisers for organizations, and there is a cost or donation. Some are offered as community services and are free. See the list below and mark your calendars with the date you choose to shred.

While You Are Clearing Stuff Out…
Keep in mind that spring is the time for Bulk Item Pick-up! So, after you go through all your papers, check out your garage, basement, and attic to see if you have items you want to store in a pile to put by the curb for that event. Time to purge! See our bulk item pick-up article for what you can and cannot put out there.
Do you know of any other shredding events? Tell us about them in the comments.
