Dog-Friendly Hotels In Winston-Salem

When you purchase through links on our site, we may earn a commission. Here’s how it works.

There was a time when bringing your pet on vacation with you was a big problem. Most hotels and motels did not allow dogs to stay in their rooms under any conditions. Fortunately, the world has become friendlier to our fur babies, and many establishments now welcome them. As a matter of fact, I once saw this sign in a hotel:

Dogs are welcome in this hotel. We have never had a dog who smoked in bed and set fire to the blankets. We have never had a dog who stole the towels, played the TV too loud, or fought with their traveling companion. We have never had a dog who got drunk and broke up the furniture. So if your dog can vouch for you, you’re welcome too.

Some Fun For Your Dog

If you have your dog on vacation, he likely spends a lot of time on a leash or in a hotel room. Consider bringing him to one of Winston-Salem’s dog parks to let him run and play with some local pups and have some vacation fun. There are many of them around the area, and there is even a bar and dog park. You will need proof of vaccinations to go there, which you should always carry with you anyway when traveling with your pup.

I am originally from New Jersey but now call Winston-Salem home. I am blessed with 3 sons, their wives, and five grandchildren. My husband is deceased, but I gained his two sons, their wives, and four additional grandchildren. I fell in love with Winston-Salem because of the beautiful area, the arts, the music, and the people. It's a city with a heart and soul.
