Spending time wandering around a vendor market is my idea of fun on a beautiful day. Whether art, jewelry, antiques, crafts, or various wares, I enjoy seeing what is offered, and I usually buy something.

We compiled a list of upcoming markets in Winston-Salem and the surrounding areas to add to your calendar so you won’t miss them. Take a look below and get ready to shop!
Upcoming Events:
November 22 – Holiday Market & Christmas Tree Lighting
- 500 W 5th
- 500 W 5 Street, Winston-Salem, NC

This is a festive and free event for the whole family! Browse unique gifts from local vendors selling everything from handmade bags and jewelry to art, enjoy tasty treats, live music of holiday tunes, and the lighting if the Christmas tree. The event also features a 3-mile Fleet Feet fun run and free s’mores and kids’ craft stations. November 22 & 23 – Piedmont Craftsmen Fair
- Benton Convention Center
- 301 W 5th Street, Winston-Salem (Parking: 527 N Cherry Street)
- November 22 & 23, 10am – 6pm & 12pm – 5pm
This event features fine artisans rather than vendors, with over 100 coming from across the country to showcase their work at the Annual Piedmont Craftsmen Fair. The artisans create one-of-a-kind pieces using a variety of materials, including clay, wood, glass, fibers, leather, metal, photography, and mixed media. November 29 – Counter Culture Holiday Art (& Second-Hand) Market

December 6 – Sawtooth Spotlight Holiday Market

December 20 – Southbound Craft Fair

Carefully curated vendors make distinctive local crafts. This event will be indoors at the Biotech Place in the Innovation Quarter. Check it out here.
December 20 – Alley of the Arts Holiday Maker’s Market

NEW: This will be a special holiday market featuring Cordial Cowboy.
Additionally, every Saturday, The Alley will host a Makers Market featuring a curated collection of local artists and artisans. In the evening, it transforms into a music venue highlighting new and established talent. Stop by weekly for classes, demonstrations, and local meet-ups! Come in costume and enjoy a spooky K-Pop and Halloween celebration that includes over 20 amazing vendors, food trucks and food vendors, trick-or-treating at vendor tables, music and dance, fun games and activities, a costume contest, and prizes, giveaways, and scratch-off tickets for the first 50 attendees who RSVP. November 8 – Ardmore Art Walk

- Navigate to Ardmore Baptist Church, 501 Miller Street to get started

The lawns in the Ardmore neighborhood will be full of 100+ artists selling beautiful, unique, funky pieces of art. There will be music and free street parking throughout the neighborhood, as shoppers search for perfect gifts for the holidays and themselves.
