3 Layers Cakery is best known for its delicious layer cakes, but they also make cupcakes, pies, muffins, cookies, and more. They have a selection of cakes and desserts on hand during business hours, but they go fast. To ensure you get the cake or dessert you want, placing an order two days in advance is best. Order online or call. They also serve coffee and have a full espresso bar.

Cheesecakes by Alex currently offers 20 flavors year-round, like Apple Crisp, Bananas Foster, Bourbon Butter Pecan, and Chocolate Brownie Turtle, plus two seasonal flavors. The cheesecakes come in sizes 5″, 7″ and 9″. They can be preordered or just picked up. They can also be ordered online and shipped. You can stop at the store for a slice or some of the other sweets they offer, including layer cakes, cupcakes, muffins, turnovers, cookies, and more. There is also a store in Greensboro.

Insomnia Cookies is relatively new to Winston-Salem. They only have pickup or delivery, or you can ship them anywhere nationwide. They look perfect for when you want that sweet treat. They have large 10″ cookies, classic cookies, deluxe cookies, brownies, ice cream sandwich cookies, and packs of cookies. Their site says free delivery or shipping with code GIVECOOKIES23. Oh, and they are open until 1am and 3am for late-night sweet tooth emergencies.

It seems only fair to include Krispy Kreme in this list since it had its early beginnings in Winston-Salem and because everyone knows the undisputed deliciousness of a hot, now glazed Krispy Kreme donut.
