Winston Salem Fashion Week is back for its 11th Annual event, and the 2025 theme is “DANDYISM – The Rebirth of a Refined Style.” The idea was inspired by the 2025 MET GALA’s Superfine theme, which featured outfits that were tailored, dramatic, decorative, refined, and made a statement.

Winston Salem Fashion Week, the premier event of the season, will take place September 26 through September 28, with fashion events happening on additional dates in September. Fashion Week will feature new designers, new trends, and a tribute to Dandyism’s enduring influence.
What Is Winston Salem Fashion Week?
Winston Salem Fashion Week (WSFW), since 2015, has produced premier runway fashion presentations that feature designers from the Triad, surrounding cities, and New York, Atlanta, and Washington, DC. They provide a platform for apparel designers, textile designers, accessories designers, models, and retail merchants, enabling them to grow, gain exposure, and increase visibility with other industry professionals. WSFW is committed to discovering and nurturing the creative talent of designers, models, and industry professionals in this area, and to assisting them in launching their brands and careers in the industry.
Fashion Week Events
Here are some of the upcoming events for Winston-Salem Fashion Week 2025. We will update with more events as they become available.
WSFW 2025 Artist Exhibition – September 3 – 30
Works that explore the influence of fashion on artistic expression, including identity, culture, and creativity, will be exhibited at Salem College Elberson Fine Arts Center, 430 Leaders Avenue, Winston-Salem, from September 3-30. It is a juried exhibition that will feature painting, photography, graphics, illustration, mixed-media, concept sketches, original fashion pieces, accessories, costume design, and more.
WSFW 2025 BodyPaint Exhibition – September 13
Ten of the world’s most talented, award-winning artists will transform 24 models into living works of art through bodypainting. With the theme “Dandyism: The Rebirth of Refined Style” and the collaboration of WSFW, this event is where art and fashion meet and is a testament to creativity, craftsmanship, and bold expression. There will be an awe-inspiring Artist Reception Art Show, a Stage Presentation, a Catwalk Runway Show, and an Artisanal Vendors Market. This event will be held at Salem College Elberson Fine Art Center, 430 Leaders Avenue, Winston-Salem, on September 13, from 5pm to 8pm, and is free and open to all ages.
WSFW Project RunSlay – September 26
WSFW’s Project RunSlay is an upcycling competition where aspiring artists transform the contest sponsor, Hanesbrands (HBI) staples, like socks, underwear, t-shirts, and more – into runway-ready looks, following the theme: “It’s Meant To Be Seen.” Creativity takes center stage as basics become bold fashion statements by aspiring fashion stylists and designers of all ages and experience levels. Designers, or models, will walk their creations down the runway to be judged on WSFW Opening Night, September 26, and judges will select the 2025 Winston Salem Fashion Week/HBI Project RunSlay Winner. The time and location of the event will be announced soon.
