Doc Watson – American Folk Music Legend Of North Carolina

Born on March 3, 1923, in Deep Gap, North Carolina, Doc did not let the fact that he was blind nearly since his birth stop him from performing mountain music across the region. The Richard Petty Driving Experience: How Fast Can You Go? Locations, Pricing & More

“Boogity boogity boogity, let’s go racing, boys!” is part of the Southern lexicon. The souped-up cars of NASCAR have Southern roots that go back to moonshine-running during prohibition days. I’m not saying it’s not the best anymore (it’s definitely not the most affordable anymore), but you’ve got a lot more options now.

UNCSA The Nutcracker 2017 Review

The UNC School of the Arts “The Nutcracker” is a Winston-Salem Christmas tradition for many Winston-Salem families, ours included.  The dazzling production offers exquisite artistry in dancing, elaborate costumes, set design and Tchaikovsky’s rich musical score and is a joy for all ages. Beyond the fantastic ballet performances and magical music, the production includes falling snow, rolling fog, and a magical light show of a Christmas tree that grows enormous right before your eyes. Read our review of this year’s production…
